POKHARA: A youth has been arrested on charge of snatching a gold chain from an elderly woman in Pokhara on Sunday night.

The suspect has been identified as Surya Bahadur Nepali (31) of Puranchaur VDC in Kaski district.

According to police, the suspect had snatched 86-year-old Maan Kumari Bhattachan's chain while she was

sitting at the hotel counter in New Road of Pokhara yesterday evening.

The chain was made up of five tola gold and worth Rs 2,82,500.

Spokesperson at Kaski District Police Office, Gajju Siddhi Bajracharya, Nepali faces robbery charges.
