Chaite Dashain fair on

Chaite Dashain fair has begun in Kalika Bhagawati temple of Baglung with the objectives of conservation of arts and culture, promotion of internal tourism, and development of sports.
The fair was organised by Federation of Industries and Commerce (FIC), and District Development Committee (DDC), Baglung. Inaugurating the fair on Saturday, acting president of FIC Chandi Raj Dhakal hoped the fair would benefit commerce and industry. Folk music competition, volleyball competition, basketball competition and shot-put competition are the main attractions of the fair. Likewise, Sunpadeli Fair 2005, was launched within the Shiva temple of Kalika VDC-6 of Kaski on Saturday. The fair has been organised by the Panko Pat Youth Club. Kalika VDC is located three km east of Pokhara sub-metropolitan city. The major attraction of the fair were folk song, cultural shows, Naumati Baja, volleyball, shot-put and food competition. Around 3,000 people visited the fair on the first day.
