KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 5

Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pande, held discussions with representatives from China Southern Airlines regarding their interest in initiating flights to Bhairahawa and Pokhara.

The airline representatives met with Minister Pande at his office in Singha Durbar, where they expressed interest in operating flights to Pokhara International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport.

China Southern Airlines currently serves over 40 countries, including Nepal, with flights to Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, from Guangzhou.

The team commended the policy reforms introduced by Minister Pande to promote aviation services to Pokhara and Bhairahawa.

In response, Minister Pande welcomed the airline's interest in expanding its services to Nepal's regional international airports. "I appreciate your interest in connecting Nepal's regional airports through your services. Pokhara is Nepal's tourist capital, and Bhairahawa is the birthplace of Lord Gautam Buddha," he said.
