Chure Bhawar cadres picket Sarlahi DAO
SARLAHI: Cadres of Chure Bhawar Ekata Party Nepal picketed the District Administration Office after demonstrating in Malangwa today. The cadres have been demanding release of their cadres and leaders from police custody.
Badri Prasad Neupane, general secretary of the party said that they staged a sit-in in front of the DAO demanding release of seven cadres including senior leader Megh Bahadur Thapa unconditionally. The demonstrators also submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal through the DAO. The party said that they had handed over a pistol seized from Samir Mainali, son of Keshab Mainali, chairman, a faction of Chure Bhawar Rastriya Ekata Party to the police on September 22. Keshab had come to attack, Megh Bahadur Thapa, senior deputy-chairman of the party.
