KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority on Sunday arrested a staffer at the Kathmandu District Court red-handed while taking bribe, on Sunday.

CIAA said Prakash Pariyar, a tameldar -runner at the Court was caught taking Rs 35,000 as bribe from a service seeker.

Acting on tip-off, CIAA spokesman Jeev Raj Koirla said, Pariyar was held from Budanilakantha Municipality. Pariyar was asking kickback from a service-seeker under various pretext for the purpose of serving a court notice.

Meanwhile, further investigation is underway.
