Civil servants’ demand

Demanding that their demands be met, civil servants working in Kaski district have submitted a memorandum meant for the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers to the Chief District Officer. Promulgation of the Civil Service Act, and compensation to dependants of civil servants on a par with those of security personnel who died during the insurgency are some of the demands figuring in the 14-point memorandum. Before submitting the memorandum, the Nepal Civil Servants’ Association and Nepal Civil Servants’ Union had organised a rally.
