Situation in the Ramechhap jail on Sunday remained tense after a fight ensued among prisoners. Jailbirds started fighting after a block of firewood hit a prisoner, Taj Bahadur Magar, when another prisoner, Gopal Hayu, was chopping the log. Security guards and the jailor tried to pacify them, but in vain. Chief District Officer Surya Prasad Shrestha and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shiv Hari Banskota reached the jail and helped settle the dispute.
