Classes resume at Far-Western University
KANCHANPUR: Regular classes at the Far-Western University resumed today after offices of the Vice-Chancellor and the Registrar were unlocked.
The classes were obstructed for nine days after CPN-UML-aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) padlocked the Vice-Chancellor's Office with various educational demands.
On the other hand, Nepal Students Union (NSU), aligned to Nepali Congress, had padlocked the Registrar's office alleging that the Registrar insulted a NC leader on social networking sites.
The two parties, however, agreed on removing the obstruction during a meeting held at the District Administration Office, Kanchanpur three days ago.
The padlocks were opened on Sunday, ANNFSU Joint Secretary Narendra Karki said.
