CMG Club Birgunj donates bicycles to traffic police

BIRGUNJ: CMG Club Birgunj donated ten bicycles to traffic police amid a programme at the District Traffic Police Office, Parsa, in Birgunj, on Thursday.

Under the social corporate responsibility, the club distributed bicycles with the motive of facilitating traffic police for maintaining peace and harmony in the society.

Maheshwor Man Joshi, club president, handed over the bicycles equipped with traffic lights and siren, to Raj Kumar Singh, police inspector at the District Traffic Police Office, Parsa, today.

"We are optimistic that this equipment would help us to maintain peace and security in the metropolis," Singh shared. Likewise, Club's president Joshi said, it would help police to curb crimes during Dipawali and Chhath festivals and facilitate traffic management in the city.

"The club has already distributed bicycles to neighbour Sarlahi district, Biratnagar and other places," Joshi said adding that the club has been actively supporting local people during natural disasters.

On the occasion, journalists, security personnel, club representatives among others were present.
