KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 10
Indian President Ram Nath Kovind today conferred the honorary rank of General of the Indian Army on Chief of Army Staff General Prabhu Ram Sharma during a special investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.
COAS Sharma had left for New Delhi on Tuesday for a four-day official visit at the invitation of Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane.
It is customary for the army chiefs of both the countries to receive the honorary title from each other during their tenure as CoAS.
Sharma is scheduled to return on Friday.
