KATHMANDU, JANUARY 7

A committee has been formed to investigate into the incident of human loss in course of the demonstration in Barahathawa Municipality of Sarlahi.

A three-member committee headed by joint-secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Thaneswor Gautam, was formed on Saturday to investigate into the incident and submit its report within seven days, shared spokesperson of the ministry, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai.

The committee comprises Deputy Inspector General of Nepal Police (DIG) Surendra Mainali and Investigation Director of National Investigation Department Bhim Bahadur Budhathoki.

It may be noted that Jayashanker Saha, 30, of Barahathawa municipality-5 was killed during a protest on the issue of up-gradation of Barahathawa primary health center in Sarlahi on January 5.
