Constituency Determination Commission collects suggestions

BIRATNAGAR: The Constituency Determination Commission has collected suggestions in Biratnagar on Tuesday by holding interaction with the leaders of the political parties and stakeholders.

On the occasion, the speakers suggested that at least seven parliamentary constituencies should be established in Morang district adding that population and geography should be taken into consideration.

Member of the commission Ganesh Raj Karki said that the commission was working day and night to complete its task in the given deadline.

During the interaction, Nepali Congress central committee member and lawmaker Shekhar Koirala said that there should be at least seven constituencies in Morang district and expressed confidence towards neutrality of the commission for being the constitutional commission.

CPN Maoist Centre politburo member Ganesh Upreti, CPN UML Chairman Binod Dhakal, Federal Socialist Forum Nepal Morang District Chairman Raj Kumar Yadav and other leaders suggested that geography, population and ethnic clusters be considered while determining the constituencies in Morang district.
