Constitutional Monarchy and Hindu state can be reinstated: Thapa

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Chariperson Kamal Thapa has said that Constitutional Monarcy and Hindu nation can be reinstated peacefully in Nepal.

Former DPM said so referring to the new constitution which does not negate any ideologies while addressing RPP's 28th anniversary at the Party's office in Kathmandu on Monday.

Thapa acknowledged that RPP could not gain favorable results in the first phase of local level elections on May 14.

RPP Chairman stressed the need to correct the internal weakness and make public understand the ideals and the principles of the party and its manifesto in view of the second phase of election.

On a different note, the former Deputy Prime Minister urged one and all not to do politics of negation and argued that the Madhesh-centric political parties should be taken into confidence to ensure their participation in the second phase of elections.

RPP leader Thapa said his party would favor and endorse the constitution amendment bill tabled in the Legislature Parliament on November 29.

Similarly, RPP Senior leader Pashupati Shumsher Rana underlined the need for all the political parties to move ahead united for the sake of National interests.

He was of the view that RPP has to consistently conduct political activities to win the public trust.
