The project which aims to connect electricity generated in Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts to the national grid began on February 26, 2012.

Of late, construction works have been accelerated. The 220-KV double circuit transmission line will have a total of 142 towers and foundations for 110 towers have already been prepared, according to Upper Trishuli 3 'A' hydropower project's deputy manager, engineer Satyaram Jyakhwa.

Till date, 55 per cent work progress has been witnessed in the construction of the transmission line. As per the third deadline given to complete the transmission line project, works need to be completed by February 12 next year.

The approximate total project cost is Rs 2.5 billion and the Upper Trishuli 3 'A' owns the responsibility for its monitoring and management.
