KATHMANDU: Police on Friday said that they have arrested a father-son duo for hoarding cooking gas cylinders from Manamaiju of Tarakeshwor Municipality-20.

Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Madan Prasad Neupane and his 22-year-old son Rijan after the security personnel found a dozen of cylinders hoarded at their shop, Lamjung Concern.

Despite being an authorised distributor of Manoj and Namaste cooking gas companies, police confiscated 11 half-filled cylinders of Himal gas and one of Shree Maya gas they had kept to sell at higher prices.

Police said they are investigating into the case.
