RAUTAHAT: CPN-UML Vice-Chairperson Ashta Laxmi Shakya on Monday said all political forces must cooperate with the government for effective implementation of the new constitution.

Speaking at a function in Chandranigahapur of Rautahar on Monday, Shakya underscored the need for all to support implementation of the new constitution.

“If there people have grievances, the constitution can be amended to address their concerns.

Hence, dialogue is the only way to bail the country out of the current crisis,” she said. Shakya appealed to the leaders of the agitating Madhes-based parties not to stick to their guns.

“As the constitution was endorsed by a huge majority of the people’s representatives, everyone should support the government for its effective implementation,” he said.
