NEPALGUNJ: Radhakrishana Tharu, a policeman was killed and another eight police personnel injured when their vehicle skidded off the highway during a routine patrol in Bhalukhola, Mahadevpuri VDC-5, Banke on Thursday night. Seven policemen were discharged after general treatment while Denesh Dhami who was severely injured is being treated at Teaching Hospital in Koholpur, Nepalgunj.

According to DSP Raj Kumar Baidhawar, the incident occurred when the police jeep made way for a vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
