Cops seize body from funeral ceremony

DHARAN: Participants who had gone to attend a funeral, returned home without performing the funeral rites after police took hold of the dead body at a cremation site in Morang two days ago.

Bir Bahadur Limbu, 61, a resident of Kerabari-9, was killed alegedly due to the beating of neighbours. He had died in two weeks after the incident of the beating. The police have taken the body for postmortem to Koshi Zonal Hospital in Biratnagar.

Neighbours Man Maya Tamang and her daughter Surya Maya Tamang have been accused of beating Limbu to death. Limbu was accused of stealing firewood. He was taken to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, Dharan for treatment. However, doctors denied treatment citing serious brain haemorrhage.
