Nepal on Saturday reported 47 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,655.

Of the newly infected, 14 are females and 33 are males.

In the last 24 hours, 28 cases surfaced in Kathmandu, Lalitpur reported three new cases while Bhaktapur logged zero infection, today.

Likewise, 62 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.

As of today, 270,828 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infections. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.7 per cent.

Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 817.

The nationwide death-toll remains 3,010 with zero Covid-related fatality reported today.

According to the health ministry, 3,535 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,188,725 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.

Currently, there are 55 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.

On Friday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 273,872 with 112 newly confirmed cases.

Globally, over 116 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.5 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.

Likewise, over 92 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
