Nepal on Sunday reported 66 new cases of coronavirus infection from across the country. With this, the nationwide infection count has advanced to 274,721.
Of the newly infected, 21 are females and 45 are males.
In the last 24 hours, 24 cases surfaced in Kathmandu, Lalitpur reported two new cases while Bhaktapur logged one infection, today.
Among all the districts, Kathmandu holds the highest number of infections in the country. After Kathmandu, Kavrepalanchowk and Mustang have highest number of infections with nine cases each.
Likewise, 58 people who were earlier infected with the virus are reported to have recovered in the past 24 hours as per the latest data provided by health ministry.
As of today, 270,886 individuals have recovered from the novel coronavirus infections. The recovery rate, as such, is 98.6 per cent.
Nepal's active Covid-19 case count currently stands at 825.
The nationwide death-toll remains 3,010 with zero Covid-related fatality reported today.
According to the health ministry, 4,111 PCR tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. With this, a total of 2,192,836 PCR tests have been carried out in Nepal till date.
Currently, there are 53 individuals in various quarantine facilities across Nepal.
On Saturday, Nepal's coronavirus case count reached 274,655 with 47 newly confirmed cases.
Globally, over 117 million people have been infected by the novel coronavirus while 2.6 million people have lost their lives to Covid-19.
Likewise, over 92 million people have recovered from the disease while more than 21 million cases are still active.
