Speaker of House of Representatives (HoR) Agni Prasad Sapkota welcomed the parliamentarians attending the first meeting of the seventh session of the reinstated HoR on Sunday.
He also thanked all sectors and the Supreme Court for their contributions to restore the lower house that had been dissolved by the incumbent Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
The first meeting of the now-reinstated House of Representatives (HoR) was summoned in accordance with the Supreme Court's February 24 order to call the meeting of the Lower House within 13 days.
"I am indebted to the respectable apex court. People's faith in the court--the final interpreter of the constitution--has increased," he said.
"Envisioning the full term and stability of the HoR the decision of Supreme Court has been acted upon," Speaker Sapkota stated.
