KATHMANDU, MARCH 9

The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has called its first meeting after the Supreme Court recently quashed the 2018 unification of the CPN-UML and CPN (MC) with its verdict awarding Nepal Communist Party to Rishiram Kattel.

The meeting that is set to commence at 1:00 pm in the party's central office Paris Danda on Tuesday will hold discussions on the party continuing or taking back its support to the KP Sharma Oli government. Likewise, according to a party source, restructuring of the party will be discussed at the meeting.

Senior leaders of the party will be present at the party office to take part in the discussions.

On March 7, the Apex Court had ruled in favour of Rishi Ram Kattel's claims over Nepal Communist Party, thereby annulling Election Commussion decision to accord the party to UML Chair KP Sharma Oli and Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal. After the verdict, the UML and the Maoist had both returned to the pre-unification stage.
