Country seeks Oli’s alternative, says Congress leader Paudel
Chitwan, July 5
Senior Nepali Congress leader Ramchandra Paudel today said the country was seeking an alternative to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union Chitwan at Bharatpur airport, Paudel held that his party would have to provide an alternative to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. “The alternative is not possible from among the communists. Thus, the NC has to prepare itself as the alternative force,” Paudel stated.
NC has a strong base and people’s support, therefore it has to present itself as the alternative force, Paudel added.
Paudel accused the government of bypassing the opposition on central issues facing the country. He flayed the government for failing to deliver prosperity and good governance. On a different note, Paudel stressed on developing a strong leadership in the NC that can unite the whole party and conducting the party’s general convention within the deadline.
Paudel said his party should play a significant role as opposition from both the Parliament and streets. “NC has to regain its lost glory by strengthening its organisation,” he added.
