DIPAYAL: A public offence case was lodged against two of Netra Bikram Chand-led CPN Maoist district leaders for smearing soot on government employees in Achham, on Tuesday.

DSP Dilip Singh Deuba said the case was filed against Harka BK, who is the party’s district chair and Dipendra Pariyar, who is the chairman of Saraswoti Community Forest for smearing soot on the face of ranger Abdul Karim Miya of District Forest Office Achham.

The duo had smeared soot accusing Miya of financial anomalies at Shubhakamana Hotel in Mangalsen on Monday.
