BHIMDUTTANAGAR: CPN Maoist Centre leader Bina Magar has been elected the member of House of Representatives from Kanchanpur Constituency-1.

Magar defeated Diwan Singh Bista of the Nepali Congress by a big margin of 19,248 votes, shared Election Officer of Election Constituency-1, Gunaraj Shrestha.

According to Shrestha, Magar received total 36,467 votes while her close contender Bista obtained 19,219 votes.

Earlier, Maoist leader Magar was defeated by Bista in the Constituent Assembly elections in 2070 BS.
