CPN-Maoist Centre emerges victorious in Rukum East

Candidates of CPN-Maoist Centre have won all three provincial and parliamentary seats in Rukum East.

As per the election results announced today, CPN-MC has won one parliamentary seat and two provincial assembly seats of the district. Kamala Rokaya won the parliamentary seat defeating her closet rival Harishankar Gharti Magar of Nepali Congress with a big margin of 6,028 votes Rokaya secured 10, 434 votes while Gharti Magar received 4,606 votes.

Similarly, Tej Bahadur Oli from CPN-MC won provincial assembly seat from Constituency-Ka of Rukum east with 5,427 votes while his closest rival NC’s Duta Kumar Pun received 2,144 votes. Purna Bahadur Gharti of CPN-MC won the provincial assembly seat from Constituency- Kha with 5,816 votes while his closest rival Datta Bahadur Basnet secured 3,111 votes.

Likewise, Janardhan Sharma from CPN-MC is leading with 28,384 votes for in parliamentary polls while his closest rival NC’s Gopalji Jung Shah is following him with 12,111 votes in Rukum west. Similarly, Krishna Bahadur Mahara is leading with 4,651 votes in parliamentary polls in Dang-2 while his closest rival NC’s Raju Khanal is following with 1,418 votes.
