CPN Maoist declares Tamsaling People’s council

Communist Party Nepal Maoist has formed a people’s council for ‘Tamsaling Autonomous Province’ in Kavre.

The party made a formal announcement of the council by organising a programme in Banepa of Kavre today.

Speaking at the declaration programme, the party’s standing committee member Dharmendra Bastola informed about the provision of the council, saying it will be run by representatives of 10 districts that fall under the ‘Tamsaling State’.

According to the information made public on the occasion, a 25-member council was formed out of 75 representatives selected from 10 districts.

Similarly, while Manik Lama was appointed chairperson of the council, Yadav Dahal was selected as vice-chairperson of the same panel.

Speaking at the programme, Bastola accused the major political parties of the country of contriving the blockade against the country to facilitate Indian imperialism and to secure the cast-away Hindu State identity back for the country by backtracking from the present identity of secular state. Today, after the formation of the council, a rally accompanied by a musical team started and took a round of Banepa bazaar.
