UML chair slams ruling parties
Jhapa, July 9
CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli today accused the incumbent ruling coalition of being an unethical alliance of self-centred forces.
Speaking at a function organised to felicitate the newly elected people’s representatives from his party in his home district Jhapa today, the former PM and UML Chairperson Oli charged the incumbent government of failing to meet the aspirations of the people. He accused the ruling Nepali Congress and the CPN-Maoist Centre of obstructing vote counting in the local units where his party was leading.
“No matter how much interruption the forces try to create, no matter how many times they want the vote count in those places, no matter how often the returning officers are changed, the candidates of the CPN UML will be victorious in most places,” said Oli.
He expressed concern about the much delayed vote count at Bharatpur Metropolitan city, which has been halted almost for two months.
He, however, urged all the people’s representatives to deliver fair and effective services to all service seekers, no matter which political background they are from.
