KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22
Election Commission has started counting votes cast under the Proportionate Representation system.
According to EC's latest data, CPN UML is currently leading the tally with 80,359 votes leaving behind Nepali Congress by around 11,000 votes. NC has secured 68,527 votes.
Meanwhile, the NC is leading in 43 seats while UML has taken a lead in 38 constituencies as the couting of First Past the Post votes is underway.
Interestingly, newly formed Rastriya Swatantra Party, which was registered some one and a half months ago, has surprised everyone not only with the FTTP votes, but also the 34,768 PR votes which has placed it in the third spot, above CPN Maoist Center.
The CPN-MC has 30,698 votes, 4000 less than RSP.

Likewise, Rastriya Prajatantra Party are also fairing well with almost 20,000 votes.
Janata Samajwadi Party has received 5983 votes, Janmat Party 5619, Nepal Workers and Peasants Party 4445, NCP (Unified Socialist) 3549 and Nagarik Unmukti Party 3541 votes.
As many as 14,948 votes have been split between various other parties.
