CPN-UML wins Dhulikhel Municipality mayor, deputy mayor posts
KAVRE: CPN-UML candidate Ashok Byanju has won the mayoral race in the Dhulikhel Municipality of Kavre district on Sunday.
Byanju garnered 7,981 votes while his competitor Ramesh Prasad Humagain of Nepali Congress got 5,408 votes.
Similarly, Bimala Kumari Chaulgain of CPN-UML was elected deputy mayor in the Municipality. Chaulagain defeated Nirmala Kumari Chaulagain of Nepali Congress with a margin of 1883 votes.
The CPN-UML deputy mayoral candidate secured 6,823 votes against 4,940 votes of her rival.
