Cured of prostate cancer, says Ex-President Yadav

WASHINGTON DC: Former President Dr Ram Baran Yadav has stated that he is cured of cancer and feels healthy now.

Talking to the RSS on Sunday from Washington DC in the USA before his departure to Nepal, the former former President also extended his gratitude to the doctors who attended to him, the government bodies in Nepal, the Nepali Embassy in the USA and the Nepali community here for the support during his treatment.

A four-member team headed by Dr Mani Menon had conducted a surgery on Dr Yadav at the Henry Ford Hospital at Detroit in the USA on October 2. He was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The former President had been staying in the guest house of the hospital following the surgery.

"Doctors have asked me to visit the hospital here in five months for regular check-up. I reckon I can regain my health and vitality with regular exercise and balanced diet," Yadav said.

The former President has also extended greetings on the occasion of Tihar, Nepal Samwat and Chhath, and urged one and all to contribute from their respective sides for the nation-building.
