Curfew lifted in Garuda

RAUTAHAT: The District Administration Office, Rautahat, has lifted the curfew order in Garuda area in the district from 4:00 am on Tuesday morning.

The curfew order was issued in the area from Monday evening after the situation turned violent.

Chief District Officer of Rautahat Madan Bhujel said that decision to lift the curfew order was taken after the situation returned to normalcy.

Meanwhile, the cadres of the agitating political parties vandalised an empty police post based in Rangapur VDC in the district last night.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Yadav said that the agitators set the police post on fire and vandalised the police post located some 12 kms south-west from Area Police Office, Chandranigahapur.
