Dacoity in journo’s house
RUPANDEHI:
Armed dacoits broke into the house of Rupandehi president of the Nepal Adivasi Janjati Patrakar Mahasangh and Radio Lumbini’s Gurung language correspondent Bhim Gurung at Kervani VDC 8 of Rupandehi district on Saturday night and robbed him of cash and 17 tolas of gold. Gurung, his wife, mother and sister-in-law were injured when they try to resist the gang. Gurung was taken to Lumbini zonal hospital in Butwal and was later referred to a hospital in Bharatpur of Chitwan district. The Butwal area police office said that the dacoits smashed the door of Gurung’s house with an axe and barged into the house while Gurung and the other family members were asleep.
