Dadeldhura civil society starts protest

Dadeldhura, August 22

An agitation has also started in Dadeldhura from today seeking action against the person(s) involved in the rape and murder of the thirteen-year-old girl Nirmala Panta of Bhimdatta Municipality, Kanchanpur.

“As the police are dithering in bringing to book the real culprits behind the murder of the innocent girl, we’ve started this agitation for justice,” said Civil Society Dadeldhura Secretary Ramesh Joshi. Today, a rally that had started from district headquarters Baghkhor’s Tuphan Danda had reached Baghkhor Bazaar, where it had concluded in a corner meeting.

“It’s unfortunate that the police have taken the short-cut to be through with the case by producing some mentally unstable person as a murder suspect instead of hunting down the real culprit,” said Women Liberation Society Chairperson Arati Joshi.

Meanwhile, vehicular movement was disrupted for about two hours on the main road.
