DHANGADI, APRIL 21

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed sadness over the Tikapur carnage and its repercussions.

Speaking at a party-entry programme in Masuriya, Kailali, today, the Maoist leader noted the huge repercussions of the Tikapur incident and remarked that it was sad to see people not involved in the incident behind bars.

"Many people are in prison now over the Tikapur carnage.

Apparently, some of them are not involvement in the incident," Dahal quoted Resham Chaudhary as saying.

"I had met him (Resham Chaudhary) in India's New Delhi, and unfortunately it had caused a huge uproar in the media, but I would like to ask you why can't I meet him," he added.

Furthermore, Dahal also revealed about his secretariat's representative's meeting with Resham Chaudhary just yesterday.

"I have talked with him through a representative of my secretariat. I will seriously talk to the government tomorrow to resolve his issue," Dahal said.

The CPN-MC chief also said his party was committed to addressing the economic and political issues of Sudurpaschim Province.
