Dahal-Nepal NCP cadres hold mass demonstration against PM Oli's move

RAUTAHAT: Scores of leaders and party workers of the Dahal-Nepal faction of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) hit the streets of district headquarters Gaur to demonstrate against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's move of dissolving the Lower House, on Tuesday.

The rally, which was attended by thousands, was led by Matrika Prasad Yadav from Gaur's historic Rice Mill. In the rally, which eventually converged at BP Chowk, slogans were raised by party workers condemning the nation's top leader of orchestrating an uncalled for political facade.

Responding to the question of whether Chinese interest in Nepali politics has increased recently, Minister Yadav said that, "External influence does not make a difference in the political scenario of the nation. However, consequential to widening internal rift in the ruling party and subsequent political instability, an opportunity for external powers to bolster their influence in internal affairs of the state has been created."

Leader Yadav stated that China intends for the communist government to collectively govern the country as opposed to the aspiration of our southern neighbour India, and that the political chaos fabricated by Prime Minister Oli is a testament of fueling those enmities.
