Dahal optimistic
SUNSARI: Unified CPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Saturday said the government, major parties and agitating Madhesi parties were close to agreement on resolving the Tarai crisis. Dahal said an agreement was about to be sealed to revise at the Constitution Amendment Bill tabled at the Parliament and change the demarcation of provinces through a political committee within a deadline. “A meeting between agitating parties, the government and major parties is scheduled for Sunday in which efforts will be made to forge agreement,” Dahal told his party’s programme in Itahari. Dahal flayed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli for making a jumbo Cabinet and splitting ministry. “We condemn the decision to expand the Cabinet by splitting the ministry, but the party is not thinking of quitting the government,” Dahal added. He held the parties would hold dialogue with agitating parties before the Parliament convenes on Sunday.
