CPN-Maoist Centre Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has pledged to take initiative to resolve the issues related to citizenship facing Non-Resident Nepalis.
At a meeting with the delegation of Non-Resident Nepali Association at his residence today, former prime minister Dahal said, "We had been raising the issues of the non-resident Nepali people for a long time. Now, we are committed to finding a solution to the problem by passing a bill related to citizenship tabled in the federal Parliament."
On the occasion, offering thanks to the CPN-MC for its 'efforts to bring the bill related to citizenship', the delegation urged the party to ensure rights of non-resident Nepali people by endorsing the bill in the Parliament.
Also present on the occasion were senior party leader of CPN-MC Narayan Kaji Shrestha, NRNA Founding President Upendra Mahato, its presidents Kul Acharya and Badri KC, Vice-president Mahesh Shrestha and regional coordinator, Europe, Chinta Mani Sapkota and Ramesh Kafle.
