Damak, April 28:

It was said at a press meet organised yesterday that a government-run higher secondary school will be set up for the first time at district headquarters Damak. Taking into consideration that the students from poor families cannot afford to to study in private higher secondary schools, the oldest government-run school here — the Himalaya secondary school — will be upgraded to a higher secondary school.

Addressing the press-meet organised jointly by the Damak Jaycees and the principal of the Himalayan school, Bidur Prasad Khatiwada said they are going to run higher secondary classes to enable students from lower and middle class families to continue their education.
