Damauli tense over death of teenage boy
DAMAULI: Tension ran high in Tanahun district headquarters, Damauli, throughout the day on Friday as locals staged protests demanding a fair probe into the death of a teenage boy.
Sixteen-year-old Purna Bahadur Ale’s body was found dangling from a tree in the premises of Aadikavi Bhanubhakta Campus on Monday. He had apparently left his house for tuition on Saturday, and had gone missing since then.
As locals demonstrated demanding fair probe into the inident, police had used tear gas shells and rubber bullets to disperse the mob.
More than a dozen protesters as well as nine police personnel were injured in the incident.
The injured include a three-day-old daughter of Puja Tamang, a resident of Byas Municipality-10.
