DANG: A man drowned while he was crossing a local river at Amritnagar of Tulasipur Municipality-9 in Dang district.

The deceased has been identified as Dharmu Chaudhary (33) of Kapadadevi, Tulsipur-6 in the district. Chaudhary was swept away by Patu River, according to Area Police Office, Tulsipur.

The body of Chaudhary was spotted at the River bank on Monday morning, shared Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Krishna Prasai.

The body of Chaudhary has been brought to Rapti Zonal Hospital in Tulsipur for post mortem, police said.

Likewise, a 35-year-old youth identified as  Ramman Mahato of Basantapur VDC-9 in Bara district drowned in a local irrigation canal on Monday.

Mahato drowned in the Gandak irrigation canal while taking bath in it, said police.
