The Western Regional Hospital (WRH) in Pokhara has asked the Tanahun District Administration Office (DAO) to airlift NC leader Ram Chandra Poudel to Kathmandu for treatment. Officiating chief of the WRH Dr Yamuna Suwal said Poudel has been referred to Kathmandu. CDO of Tanahun Govindamani Bhurtel said the DAO received a fax from WRH urging it to airlift Poudel to Kathmandu for treatment. “We have informed about the latest condition of Poudel to higher authority immediately after receiving the fax,” he said. Poudel is being detained at the District Police Office in Tanahun since his arrest on February 1 from Damauli. He was admitted to the WRH on Sunday.
