KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari, on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, has appointed Dawa Phuti Sherpa as the new Nepali ambassador to Spain.

Sherpa has been appointed to the post as per Article 282 (1) of the Constitution, stated Keshav Prasad Ghimire, assistant spokesperson at President's office through a press release issued on September 27.
