Chitwan, April 12:

The administration in Chitwan, Rupandehi and Kaski districts today clamped daytime curfew in Bharatpur, Butwal and Pokhara, the headquarters of the districts, respectively.

In a notice today, DAO Chitwan, announced curfew in Bharatpur municipal areas from 11 am to 5 pm. Earlier, curfew was in force from 7 am to 5 pm daily. Night curfew from 9 pm to 4 am will continue till further notice.

Meanwhile, agitators continued to defy curfew orders and held demonstrations.

The Rupandehi DAO imposed curfew in Butwal municipality and surrounding areas from 1 pm to 4 pm today. Professional bodies staged a rally against autocracy before the curfew began. Night curfew from 6 pm to 4 am is still in force there.

Similarly, curfew was clamped in Pokhara from 11 am to 6 pm today.
