NAWALPARASI: The eastern Nawalparasi, Arunkhola bus accident death toll has now reached seven.

According to the police, critically injured Ganesh Basnet, 30, of Solukhumbu, passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The others who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident are Tilak Bista (35) of Hastachaur Rural Municipality-2 in Gulmi, Suhan Karki (11) of Sundarharaicha-12 in Morang district, Ramjeet Rai (27) of Hatuwagadhi-6 in Bhojpur, Abdul Ansari (32), a local of Sunsari and Bidyananda Yadav of Bihar, India.

Likewise, 15 out of 35 injured were discharged while remaining 20 are being treated at Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan, police said.

The bus (Lu 1 Kha 8454) en route to Bhairahawa from Itahari had met with an accident at around 5:00 pm on Sunday morning.

Police suspect that the accident took place due to dim light and high speed of the bus.
