Deuba firm about NC support to govt

BIRGUNJ: Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba said on Sunday that the incumbent government should not be changed.

In a brief talk to journalists at Simara Airport, Deuba said that the present government should be going ahead for the constitution drafting and peace processes. He added that the NC will continue its support to the government. He urged the UCPN-Maoist to join the government disapproving of an alternative to the government.

Talking about the High-Level Political Mechanism, the former PM recommended that the 24 parties of the Constituent Assembly should be inducted into it. He further said that the HLPM could not work in an effective manner without the other political parties.

He arrived in Simara to attend a programme in Pathalaiya organised by Tamang Ghedung Association on the occasion of the Year of the Tiger, according to their calendar.
