KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba left for a week-long private trip to New Delhi on Monday morning for his wife Nepali Congress lawmaker Arzu Rana Deuba’s health treatment .

“He left for New Delhi not as the NC president but as the husband of Arzu Rana Deuba, who will have a hip replacement surgery on April 20 in a hospital as per an earlier appointment.

He will not hold any political meeting,” said NC leader Bimalendra Nidhi. The NC president is scheduled to return home on April 24.
