Deuba’s home town under Maoist threat
The 17 Village Development Committees (VDCs) out of the total 20 of Dadeldhura district, the homeland of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, are reported to be under the threat of being attacked by Maoist terrorists.
These days the Maoists are targeting the VDCs, which have direct concern with the local people. As a result, the people are compelled to be leaving their villages and shifting themselves towards the safet urban areas. After the sate of emergency was imposed in the country, 300 VDCs located in the western parts of the country are found to be passive in their usual activities.
Bajhang district is one which has been facing the worst days compared to other districts of the area because almost all VDCs of the district except Chainpur, district headquarter of the district, have already faced the attack of the Maoists.
Similarly, 53 VDCs out of 75 VDCs in Achham district have been disturbed. Actually, the VDCs were already under the attacks of the Maoists.
