Deusi-Bhailo raises fund for computer classes in Khotang village
KHOTANG: Nearly Rs 250,000 has been raised from a Deusi-Bhailo programme on the occasion of Tihar festival for the purpose of operating computer classes at Malikadevi Secondary School in Bahunidanda, an eastern VDC in Khotang district.
School Management Committee, the Parents Teachers Association, Junior Red Cross Circle, Child Club, teachers, guardians and students played Deusi-Bhailo jointly for the noble cause.
According to the local school teacher Shankar Karki, Rs 245,987 was collected through the programme during the Tihar Festival concluded last week.
Jeevan Karki, principal of the school, said that the programme was organised in order to add more hardware for starting computer classes from the coming academic session.
The school was already equipped with a desktop and two laptops, he added.
