Dhading Transport Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (DTEO) has announced chakkajam in the district from today, claiming that transport staff have been facing insecurity. The move came after police, according to them, failed to prevent locals from torching a bus that killed a child Sitaram Tamang. Though an agreement to compensate the victim’s family and the bus owner within 15 days was reached among security officials, political leaders and DTEO representatives, transport entrepreneurs have called the strike from today.
